New garden for new house.  Together with the owner's input I designed the garden to fit the lifestyle and architecture of the people, house and the surrounding area.  Then I built it.  The front garden is open space, rather than enclosed by walls and fences, and features native plants.  The back garden is completely different and the outdoor room has plenty of space on the cool limestone paving for  furniture- .  Planting features lots of different but complimentary plants: herbs dotted around the garden, native violets, star jasmine, four species of bamboo and a leopard tree amongst others.  It's going to be very interesting seeing this garden develop, especially once the bamboo starts climbing high, the star jasmine covers the walls and the leopard tree provides shade.
